Crepúsculo no terminó el 2012 con “Amanecer: parte 2”. Su historia continúa y sigue vigente en Facebook. Para cumplir este propósito, Stephenie Meyer requirió de la ayuda de siete cineastas que aportaron junto a ocho escritoras siete nuevas historias a la saga de vampiros.
En el 2014, Stephenie Meyer, la escritora de los libros de “Crepúsculo”, anunció que tenía un nuevo proyecto filmográfico llamado “The Storytellers: New Voices of the Twilight Saga”. Esta convocatoria le dio la oportunidad a ocho escritoras y siete mujeres cineastas realizar las historias que ahora están disponibles en Facebook de la mano de Lionsgate, Meyer y Kristen Stewart.
Cada una de las historias difundidas en Facebook es sobre uno de los personajes de la saga. Ninguno de estos cortometrajes ha sido proyectado en los cines. Hasta la fecha el más visto de estos videos tiene más de seis millones de reproducciones.
“Creemos que Facebook es una gran manera para nosotros presentar el mundo de 'Crepúsculo' a un nuevo público, mientras que re-energizamos a los fans existentes”, dijo el vicepresidente de Lionsgate, Michael Burns, a “The New Yor Times”.
El más popular de los videos de Facebook es el que se titula “El Archivo de Mary Alice Brandon”, este revela la trágica historia de la vida de Alice, la vampira clarividente, antes de convertirse en miembro de la familia Cullen.
