La temporada de premios ya comenzó y la siguiente premiación son los Critics Choice Awards. La 29ª edición del evento anual que destaca lo mejor en cine y televisión según la crítica especializada se realizará el 14 de enero de 2024 en el Barker Hangar del aeropuerto de Santa Mónica en Santa Mónica, California.
Por segundo año consecutivo, Chelsea Handler es la anfitriona de la ceremonia, que se transmitirá a través de The CW. Al igual que los tres años anteriores, las nominaciones de cine y televisión se anunciaron por separado. Mientras las nominaciones televisivas se anunciaron el 5 de diciembre de 2023, las nominaciones cinematográficas se anunciaron el 13 de diciembre de 2023.
“Barbie”, película dirigida por Greta Gerwig y protagonizada por Margot Robbie, lidera las nominaciones con dieciocho. Las siguientes en la lista son “Oppenheimer” y “Poor Things”, que tiene trece nominaciones cada una.
En cuanto a las nominaciones televisivas, “The Morning Show” se ubica en primer lugar con seis, seguida de “Succession” con cinco. Además, Warner Bros. recibió un total de 25 nominaciones para películas, HBO / Max, un total de 23 nominaciones para televisión, y Netflix, un total de 22.
