Con un tiro libre final de Anthony Davis, el equipo capitaneado por Lebron James venció este domingo al liderado por Giannis Antetokounmpo (157-155) en el Juego de las Estrellas de la NBA, que este año estuvo dedicado a la memoria del fallecido Kobe Bryant.
Por el Team Lebron, Kawhi Leonard fue el máximo anotador del partido con 30 puntos y el capitán Lebron James anotó 23 mientras que, por el Team Giannis, su capitán Antetokounmpo sumó 25 unidades y Kemba Walker 23.

El Team Lebron se ha impuesto en las tres ediciones del Juego de las Estrellas celebradas desde que en 2018 se instauró el sistema de capitanes y dejaron de enfrentarse los combinados del Oeste contra Este.
El partido se disputó con unas reglas especiales que fueron diseñadas para homenajear a Kobe Bryant y que facilitaron que fuera uno de los Juegos de las Estrellas más reñidos y peleados de los últimos años, permitiendo ver encendidas protestas a los árbitros, muy inusuales en estos partidos.
Una de esas reglas fue que el último cuarto se disputara sin límite de tiempo, con ambos equipos teniendo que alcanzar los 157 puntos para ganar. Esta cifra correspondía a los 133 puntos que sumó el equipo que iba en cabeza tras los tres primeros cuartos (Team Giannis) más otros 24 en homenaje a Kobe Bryant (quien lució ese número y el 8 en su carrera).
Los dos equipos llegaron igualados al final pero el Team Lebron logró sumar los 157 puntos con un tiro libre de Anthony Davis.Además de honrar a Bryant, el partido también tenía un componente solidario, ya que el vencedor de cada cuarto conseguía una donación para la organización caritativa de su elección en Chicago. En el United Center de Chicago, la sexagésimo novena del NBA All Star se llevará a cabo, semanas después del sensible fallecimiento de la leyenda Kobe Bryant, motivo por el cual habrá un homenaje, también para su hija Gianna, quien murió junto a su padre y otras siete personas, en un accidente aéreo.
Hasta el momento, se sabe que el equipo de LeBron James usará la dorsal 2 en homenaje a Gianna Bryant; mientras que el equipo de Giannis Antetokounmpo portará la ’24′ por Kobe.

Una vez al año las estrellas se juntan. Y no hablamos de algún fenómeno astronómico, sino de la reunión de las figuras de la NBA, en el gran ‘All Star Game’. El United Center será escenario por tercera vez (la primera desde 1998) del soñado partido, que enfrentará al ‘Team Lebron’ con el el ‘Team Giannis’.Por segundo año seguido, el astro de los Lakers y la figura de los Bucks liderarán las escuadras, por ser los más votados por los fanáticos. Y aunque el equipo del ‘Rey’ ganó el anterior ‘Juego de las Estrellas’ (178-164), todo puede pasar ahora .
En parte porque se empleará un nuevo formato, que busca darle mayor competitividad. Y porque el griego sigue en ascenso, anotando 30 puntos por juego ( 5.2 menos que LeBron) y 13.5 rebotes (7.7 menos), cifras que lo pueden llevar a ser otra vez ‘MVP’ de la temporada.

NBA All-Star Game 2020: el nuevo formato
Cada equipo representará a una organización de la comunidad de Chicago. A LeBron le tocó la Chicago Scholars y a Giannis Antetokounmpo. la After School Masters. A diferencia de un partido convencional en el que al final de los cuatro cuartos se conoce al ganador, ahora los primeros tres parciales serán competencias individuales, vale decir que habrá un equipo victorioso en cada tiempo.
El marcador se reiniciará en los tres primeros parciales y cada tiempo será de 12 minutos. El equipo ganador de cada cuarto recibirá 100 mil dólares para donar a su respectiva organización. El tiempo del último cuarto será un misterio hasta ese momento, pues se establecerá un solo objetivo de anotación.
Este saldrá sumando los puntos acumulados del equipo con ventaja y agregándole 24 puntos más a esa cifra, esto en señal de homenaje al dorsal que usó Kobe Bryant. Una vez que se fije el objetivo, los dos equipos buscarán en el último cuarto llegar a esa cifra, el primero que lo haga será el ganador del All Star-Game.
El equipo ganador se llevará otros 200 mil dólares para donar. En caso el primer o segundo cuarto termine igualada, los 100 mil dólares sea acumularán para el siguiente parcial y correrá al cuarto parcial si en el tercero termina también empatado.
Ojo que si un equipo gana los tres primeros cuartos y el All-Star Game, sumará el total de 500 mil dólares para donar y la organización del equipo perdedor recibirá 100 mil dólares.
