Madrid. Ocho personas resultaron heridas este jueves, dos de ellas por asta de toro, en el séptimo encierro celebrado en Pamplona, en el norte de , por la fiesta de , indicaron las autoridades.

El encierro, con toros de la ganadería de Núñez de Cuvillo y un recorrido de 800 metros, duró dos minutos y 40 segundos. Fueron corneados dos hombres, de 36 y 41 años, originarios de la región.

En total fueron hospitalizados siete hombres y una mujer de entre 18 y 57 años, todos españoles. Ninguno tenía lesiones graves, según el gobierno regional de Navarra. Sin embargo para tres personas el gobierno precisa que el pronóstico es reservado.

En el video de la carrera, el séptimo de los ocho encierros previstos, puede verse a dos toros pisando a uno de los mozos.

La Cruz Roja por su lado atendió a 57 personas al final de la carrera, en su mayoría heridos de levedad que no necesitaron ir al hospital.

Las fiestas de San Fermín, del 6 al 14 de julio, están entre las más famosas de España y atraen cada año a cientos de miles de visitantes del mundo entero.

Durante una semana, cada mañana a las ocho cientos de 'mozos' ataviados de camisa y pantalón blancos y con un pañuelo rojo al cuello corren delante de los toros por el centro de Pamplona.

Cualquier persona de más de 18 años puede participar en la carrera, pero las autoridades recuerdan que las heridas son frecuentes y que incluso ha habido muertos, concretamente 15 desde 1911. El último fue en el 2009.

En el 2016, 87 personas resultaron heridas, 12 de ellas por asta de toro.
