El ex presidente de Estados Unidos, Barack Obama, dio este jueves un extenso discurso—cerca de 90 minutos—frente a 70.000 personas en Berlín, en un lugar donde una vez estuvo parte del muro que dividía Alemania Oriental y Occidental. En el acto, el ex mandatario dijo que que los países prósperos no pueden "esconderse detrás de un muro".
Este mismo día, el actual mandatario estadounidense, Donald Trump, participó por primera vez de una cumbre de la OTAN en Bélgica. En ella, aprovechó para criticar a los países miembros por, según dijo, no pagar su cuota a la alianza militar. "23 de las 28 naciones miembros todavía no pagan lo que deberían pagar" y "esto es injusto para la gente y los contribuyentes de Estados Unidos", declaró Trump.
La primera dama de Estados Unidos, Melania Trump, aprovechó su visita a Bruselas para compartir con un grupo de niños enfermos a los que visitó en el hospital Reina Fabiola de la capital belga.
